A few words about the author and his blog.

Srinivasa Ramanujam, popularly known as Jam in his friend's circle, is an Assistant Professor at IIT Bhubaneswar. His primary work is on developing new algorithms or improving existing algorithms to estimate rainfall from satellite and ground based measurements. During his spare time, he reads book, listens to classical music, captures  landscape/moments on his camera or blogs about anything he likes.

As the name suggests, the author of this blog registers whatever he reads/hears/observes. In this blog, he would write a review of the books he read, movies he watched, trips he made, events/functions he attended/organized/volunteered for, share tips on cooking and occasionally a few articles based on his research work.
This is a personal weblog. The opinions expressed here represent my own and not those of my employer/organization.

The author has named his blog after the place from where he writes used to write and publishes his articles. Cauvery is the name of the hostel at IIT Madras where he resided during his Ph.D. 317, as you might have already guessed, was his room number.
